The creation of a Global Partnerships Program in FY 2018 reflects the Global Strategic Plan’s emphasis on strengthening member engagement, including that of Corporate Members who are significantly helpful in expanding ULI’s influence and advancing the Institute’s mission around the world. There are more than 325 Global Partners contributing to ULI’s vast repository of industry expertise, including Allianz, Benoy, McKinsey, Greenberg Traurig, Gensler, and Tishman Speyer.
The Global Partnerships Program is exclusively available to a select group of Corporate Members who are globally active across the Institute, highly engaged, mission aligned and want to elevate their activity to a strategically aligned partnership. The program offers a corporate account management approach that is high-touch, seamless in delivery of entitlements, and which aligns partners’ vision and strategies with ULI engagement opportunities around the world, including: participation on mission-focused activities such as UrbanPlan and the Advisory Services program; content development and knowledge sharing; and access to member networks such as Product Councils, the Women’s Leadership Initiative, Young Leaders group and NEXT group.
ULI’s streamlined packaging of the offerings and services provided to Global Partners is a key step forward, noted ULI Global Board Member Francois Trausch, Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Real Estate in Munich, Germany. “Allianz Real Estate has been a longtime supporter of ULI in Europe, the U.S. and Asia. In 2017, we introduced a global approach to our membership to replicate the way that we work internally. Employing a single contract across the world has simplified the relationship from a management perspective,” Trausch said. “And, the personalized account management has facilitated us encouraging colleagues – from young leaders to global executives – to gain an appreciation of our industry’s thinking and trends, to engage with their local peers and learn from the initiatives in other regions.”
